In the beginning...
Back in the late 1980's there were many changes taking place in the corporate world at a rapid rate. The evolution of technology, globalization, corporate restructuring and business process re-engineering all played a key role. I founded Training and Performance Solutions, LLC in 1990 in response to these growing needs.
What I have experienced...
Over the years I have worked with project teams and subject matter experts to create custom designed learning strategies and programs to help end users acquire the knowledge and skills they needed to operate in the new environment. The focus of the training was on the technical side of change.
While key stakeholders, project leads and teams work for months on a project, end users often express that they are the last to know what is happening, communication is not clear, their input is not considered and the amount of time given for them to become proficient is lacking. They feel frustrated, apprehensive, fearful and resistant. These are all natural human reactions to change that can have a negative impact on attitude and productivity.
What I have learned...
I discovered that companies handled change more effectively when they focused on the human and technical side of change, resulting in a high rate of adoption and productivity. Employees who are resilient to change can help their organizations succeed.
What I am passionate about...
Having a passion to help others feel competent, confident and comfortable during these turbulent times, I shifted my business focus from the technical side to the human side of change. I provide customized training, facilitation and coaching to mid- to large- sized organizations to enable them to effectively manage organizational change and transitions.
How I can help...
I work with leaders, teams and work groups to provide customized training, facilitation and coaching that focuses on what you need to know and do to become resilient to change, manage it and thrive in the face of it!
